I thought it would be super easy to get a quote online WRONG!
I can’t seem to find anyone that offers it, can i get insurance and bonding from the same place?
I read that i the insurance i would need would be property liability insurance but when i look at some sites it says ” to help protect your belongings” isn’t it supposed to be if i damage someone elses? HELP!

Check with your local independent insurance agent.
Read the original question here
where can i get insurance and bonding for a house cleaning bussiness consisting of just myself?
Your right. Not many insurers write the kind of insurance that you need for your kind of business.
Shop around some brokers. Look in the yellow pages. You should be able to find someone in your area.
Both early answers are true and true.
Let me say a little more.
The Insurance you need is not sold online because it doesn’t apply to very many people, just to people in business who need to protect their clients and, would you believe, you often can’t get bonded unless you have personal liability insurance.
Your local Independent Insurance Agency will have the coverages you need to fill the bill and protect you, your business and your clients.
Just get on the phone Monday morning, not the computer, and call around and be prepared to answer questions about you and about your business, your vehicle and how long you’ve been in business.
And don’t be surprised at how much the agent knows about your business, I’ll bet you’re not the first to ask about this Insurance.
Just about any AIG agency can help you with what you need.
Good luck
John
You can’t buy this online. You’d have to go to a local insurance agent.
Yes, an independent agent could get you coverage at the same place.
Liability insurance, protects you from being sued, if someone sues you. It is NOT an automatic payout to someone if you break their stuff.
Bonding, would pay the person named on the bond – it does NOT carry over to everyone who’s house you clean, you’d need one bond per person. Unless, the city is requiring the bond, and then it’s a LICENSE bond, to the city.
Most housecleaners can’t afford to carry liability and bonding – it runs around $1500 a year, and you have to pay the first year in full.
Sit down with a local independent agent (find one at http://www.iiaa.org) and they can explain it to you. Call first, to make sure they can do bonding – only about 1 in 10 agents know what they heck they’re doing, when it comes to bonds.
