You do not ever have to incorporate your business. It depends very much the type of business you have for the type and amount of insurance you will need. If you expect to have customers coming to your home you will need to check local zoning laws on home businesses in your neighborhood. Depending upon where you are and the type of business you want to start you may not be able to do it as a home based business. It is always better to investigate these things in advanvce than to be surprised later.

I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a “name party” & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
