I suspect that the value placed on my home by my insurance agent is way high. Is there some way I could confirm and/or refute his valuation? I live in Buffalo, NY and my house is like 750 sf with no basement and they set the replacement cost at $110K

To get a quote, all of the companies are asking for the replacement cost. I’ve read that only way to get that is to hire an appraiser. So does that mean I get an appraiser first, THEN start getting insurance quotes

I used to sell auto/home insurance years ago & had a home office. I see some opening for Customer Service Agents & my former boss has an opening (I think) he is away right now so I am preparing to contact him when he gets back. Can a person do this work in a home office.
