When a home sustains major damage, the homeowner calls his or her insurance company to get it repaired. Thousands of area residents did this after the July flood that hit Proviso Township. However, when they called their insurance companies, many didn’t get the help they expected. At numerous town hall meetings, residents have brought up their concerns of not being covered by their insurance.
